How to add an overlay to OBS

To add a StreamEmber overlay to OBS, copy the overlay's link in the launcher, add a Browser source in OBS, paste the link into the URL field and set the width and height. The overlay then appears on your stream scene and updates with your live events. It takes about a minute per overlay.

Add an overlay to OBS step by step

    Copy the overlay link

    In the launcher, open Overlays → Gallery. Pick a Style, adjust it with Customize if you like, then click Copy link on the overlay's card.

    Add a Browser source in OBS

    In OBS, select your scene, click + under Sources and choose Browser. Give the source a name such as the overlay's name and click OK.

    Paste the link into URL

    In the source properties, replace the text in the URL field with the link you copied. Paste the whole link; a shortened or edited link shows an empty page.

    Set width and height

    Each overlay is designed for its own shape: a leaderboard is tall, a goal bar is wide. Enter a Width and Height that match the shape you see in the launcher preview (the Welcome page shows the exact size), click OK, then drag the frame in the OBS preview to place it.

    Keep the link private

    The link is personal to your account. If it leaks, use More actions → Renew link on the card; a new link is created, so update the URL in OBS or LIVE Studio afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the overlay blank in OBS?

Check that the whole link was pasted and that you updated OBS after renewing the link. Overlays marked as locked or PRO show an empty page without a subscription.

Can I use the overlays in TikTok LIVE Studio?

Yes. In TikTok LIVE Studio, add the same link as a Link source instead of a Browser source.
