Launcher not receiving TikTok LIVE events

StreamEmber Launcher not receiving TikTok LIVE gifts, likes or comments? Check your username, make sure you are live, reconnect and check the firewall.

By StreamEmber TeamCreator success ·

If the StreamEmber Launcher shows no gifts, likes or comments from your TikTok LIVE, the cause is almost always one of five things: a wrong username, a stream that is not live yet, a connection that was never started, a blocked internet connection, or a stream that needs a restart. Check them in the order below.

The launcher only reads the public events of your stream and never asks for your TikTok password. While you test, keep the Live Stream screen open: the status line and the Recent events list show right away whether data is coming in. New to the app? How to get TikTok LIVE events into the launcher

  1. 1

    Check the TikTok username

On the Live Stream screen, type the username of the account that goes live into Streamer username, without the @ (for example streamember), then click Save. It is the same setting as Integrations → TikTok. You cannot change it while connected, so click Disconnect first.

  2. 2

Make sure you are actually live

Start your LIVE in TikTok LIVE Studio, OBS or the TikTok app before connecting. If the status shows Streamer is not live, wait until the stream is running, then connect again.

  3. 3

    Click Connect to live

The launcher does not connect on its own. Click Connect to live: the status should change to Receiving data and events should appear under Recent events. If it says Login required, sign in under Integrations → TikTok with Sign in to TikTok.

  4. 4

    Check internet, VPN and firewall

If the status stays on Connecting or No data, check that your internet works, try without a VPN or proxy, and allow StreamEmber Launcher in Windows Firewall and your antivirus.

  5. 5

    Restart the stream and reconnect

If the status shows Stream ended, or events stop in the middle of a stream, click Disconnect, end your LIVE and start it again, then click Connect to live once more.

Frequently asked questions

Does StreamEmber need my TikTok password?

No. StreamEmber only reads the public events of your stream and never asks for your TikTok password.

Do I have to connect every time I go live?

Yes. The launcher does not connect automatically, so click Connect to live after your stream starts. Your username stays saved.

Events arrive, but the game does not react. What now?

Then the connection works and the problem is in the gift mapping or the game itself. See our help article on gifts that do not trigger game actions.
