TikTok LIVE TTS not working? Fix text-to-speech with no sound
TikTok LIVE TTS not working? Check automatic reading, the daily TTS limit, comment filters and OBS or LIVE Studio audio capture in StreamEmber.
Why TikTok LIVE text-to-speech has no sound
When StreamEmber text-to-speech stays silent, the cause is almost always one of four things: automatic reading is off, today's TTS limit is used up, a filter skips the comment, or the voice plays on your PC but your streaming app does not capture it. Each one takes about a minute to check.
TTS reads comments and gift messages aloud in natural voices; see text-to-speech for TikTok LIVE. A free account reads 30 comments a day and Premium 2,000; compare the limits on our pricing page.
How to fix TTS with no sound
- 1
Turn on automatic reading
Open Streaming & Automation → TTS. On the Voice tab, turn on Read comments automatically, pick a language and a voice, then click Save.
- 2
Test the voice on your PC
On the Test tab, use Test the voice → Read aloud. If you hear nothing, check the Windows output device and volume, and make sure Volume (dB) is not turned down; 0 means full volume.
- 3
Check your daily limit
Remaining usage shows today's requests, this month's characters and when they reset. Free accounts get 30 TTS a day (20,000 characters a month), Premium 2,000 a day.
- 4
Test a comment against your filters
If only some comments are skipped, type one into Test a comment. It tells you why it would not be read: a blocked word, emoji only, cooldown, the viewer group and more.
- 5
Connect to your LIVE
Comments are only read while the launcher is connected to your stream: Live Stream → Connect to live.
- 6
Let your viewers hear it
The voice plays through your PC's default audio output. In OBS, keep Desktop Audio on and unmuted; in TikTok LIVE Studio, make sure your computer's sound is part of the stream. Then do a short test LIVE.
TTS questions
How many comments can TTS read per day?
A free account reads 30 comments a day, up to 20,000 characters a month. Premium raises this to 2,000 a day and 1,000,000 characters a month.
Why can't I select some voices?
Without a subscription only Standard voices are available. Premium voices (Chirp3-HD) sound more natural and unlock with Premium.
Why do I hear TTS but my viewers don't?
The launcher plays the voice on your PC, so your streaming app has to capture desktop audio. In OBS check Desktop Audio; in LIVE Studio check that PC sound is included in the stream.
